Lotto AV's next draw is April 29th!   We are changing things up a bit this week as we have managed to get in touch with Brokentusk to tell us more about what he's done with his winnings.  See below the jump to hear more of Brokentusk's tale.  As always, Glaman is still taking tickets for next week's draw and details about the lottery can be found below.

Brokentusk has been kind enough to share with us a story about what he did with his winnings.  This story took time to craft, and has been unfortunately sitting in my inbox for several weeks as I was waiting for the proper time and way of revealing it to the guild.  As promised, I have retrieved the scroll from the depths of the mailbox and it is here for everyone to now see.  Thank you Broken for taking the time to share this with us!  I'm glad that we were able to help you with your professions.





Rules for Lotto AV:

1. Anyone that is in good standing with the guild can participate (this includes both officers and greenhorns).  Leaving or being removed from the guild will disqualify a person.

2. The drawings will be held every 2 weeks, and will be drawn on Sunday.

3. The cost of a "ticket" will be 25 gold per ticket.

4. When a ticket is purchased, the member will have a choice of either choosing the number they want, or having the person that is handling the lottery will do a /rand 750 to produce a random ticket number.   Your ticket number(s) will be mailed to the person in game as well as recorded in the forums for record.

4a. It is completely possible that more than 1 person will have the same number, if this is the case, the winnings will be split up equally among all persons with that number. If there is any gold left over, it will roll over to the next drawing. For example, if there is 100 gold in the pot and 3 people win, each person will win 33 gold and the 1 gold left over will roll over to the next drawing.

5. In order to facilitate a winner, the person handling the lottery will do a /rand with the same number that was used to generate the tickets for each person. If the result of the number matches any person, they will be determined the winner. If no winner is found, then the the money will roll over to the next drawing. Any person wanting to win, will need to purchase a ticket again in order to win that money.

6. There is no limit to the number of tickets a person can buy, but each ticket will cost the person 25 gold per ticket.

7. If in the event that we get 75% of the possible numbers generated (ie. 563 unique ticket numbers for a 750 rand number), the event will be closed and a number drawn. A new event will immediately begin with a whole new set of numbers.

8. Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing in order to win, and the winnings will be mailed to the individual in game.


These are the rules as they stand right now. Please note that they are subject to change if something is causing the lottery to be unfair for anyone. If anyone is found cheating, they will be removed immediately from the lottery and will not be allowed to participate again.

Currently, all tickets will be purchased from Glaman (or one of his alts) and he is responsible for handling all of the information. He will be posting on the forums the winners and the tickets for each person. Please feel free to contact him if you have any questions.
