Throughout life
there are many twists and turns, curve balls, hurdles to overcome and
at times leaps of faiths. When I first joined Asgarths Vangurad in
2009, I'd never dream that I would have been given the opportunity to
one day become GM. I will always cherish the experience, but it is now
time to pass to torch onto a new GM.
Many guild members will know that a lot has changed for me since taking over as GM. I took over shortly after my back injury a year ago when I wasn't working and had infinite free wow time. I like to think that I worked hard to bring the current officer team together as well as creating a stronger guild overall.
Back at the end of April I started my new job, and with it came the reality crash of not being able to play wow whenever I wanted or to sit in game for hours and hours at a time all day, every day. Through the summer months I've had the pleasure of running in organized pugs thanks to Open Raid and also meeing someone that has helped me find a new love for myself and the game.
After talking with Mel extensively, he's agreed to step up as GM and I know that he will do the guild a great justice as since the first day I joined AV, Mel's been there with guidance, support and encouragement. Mel also holds a lot of the same core values as me and I know he will do great things moving forward with AV.
I want to thank all of you as I would not be where I am today without my time and experiences in Asgarths Vanguard. Asgarths Vanguard will always be my family and home. My heart is with AV and I know that Mel will do a great job moving forward. You guys are my family and many of my closest friends and I hope that many of you will remain great friends for years to come regardless to the tags we have under our toon's names or that games we end up exploring moving forward.
